i know i should see this movie but never have what is it about? I heard that it was a classic film.

i should do that, to not look at porno anymore.

It's also got an awesome soundtrack.

Another bit of trivia: Notice that the Ludovico drug is labeled "Serum 114". Fans of Dr. Strangelove will recognize this as a reference to the radio frequency in the plane: CRM 114.

Wonderful film. The book is better in my opinion, but Kubrick's style makes this film stand out on its own plane.

i heard that after making this movie with kubrick malcolm mcdowell (alex) now has a fear of eye drops - (which is not surprising really, especially when he probably did it about a hundred times since kubrick was abit of a perfectionist) not many actors these days would have done it i don't think.

also kubrick found out that malcolm had a fear of snakes so he put one in the script, even though he could have probably done without in the film (just to screw with him).

all of alex's narration was on a pocket recorder (that kubrick held), and portable cameras and low budget sets were used (since 2001 was so heavy on SFX he wanted to make it as easy/low maintainace as possible.

the doorbell in "home" is the first 4 notes of the glorious 9th by ludwig van.

such a good movie, until fags like Pope write reviews of it.
