iranians were never arabs, they always resisted to be arabised
unlike egyptians (whom r also not arabs nor semites) whom by time sold out their original culture and became arabized
iranians always maintained their heritage

iraq beacame arabized easily bcz the people r mainly semites whom at the time of the muslim invasion mainly spoke aramiac which is a related language to arabic, so it wasn't hard for them to switch to the new language and adapt the new culture

also, shia/suna has nothing to do with being an arab or a persian

in fact, technically speaking ishmael (son of abraheem) is not an arab, but a hebrew, and his name is actually a hebrew name and not an arab one
prove of this is in arabic grammar, the name ishmael is considered a3jami and not arabi, that is why we say "ila isma3eela" instead of saying "ila isma3eeli"
